Ostrich boas have a marabou center with different layers of Ostrich depending on the thickness of the boas. Two ply Ostrich boas are 2 yards (6 ft) long, and approx 10" in diameter. The two ply has two layers of Ostrich wing feathers sewn into the marabou (soft Turkey feathers).
Lurex is a tinsel-like product that is available in gold or opalescent. Its shimmer adds a touch of sparkle, making lurex boas unique.
Ostrich boas can be cut without unraveling as feathers are sewn onto a cotton cord.
