STEP 1. The first step on this costume is simply to cover a sweatshirt with chandelle boas. Start around the neck on one side and move down, sewing the boa into place. After both the front and back are covered, spiral boa around the arms of the sweatshirt. HERE is a diagram of how the boas are most easily attached. |

STEP 2. Next, we’ll make the hat of the costume. Start by cutting out two comb pieces from red fabric using the pattern found HERE. |

STEP 3. Pin the two fabric pieces together and sew around the edges, leaving the bottom unsewn. |

STEP 4. Turn the comb and stuff it with polyfil or cotton stuffing. |

STEP 5. Tucking the raw edges under, pin the comb onto a stocking cap and sew down. |

STEP 6. Pull some yellow rubber gloves on and cover the tops with some yellow tights. Don the sweatshirt and hat, and there you have it, one little chicken! |
